Why not go for a Motorcycle Ride through Central America?
Too cold to Ride?
Too wet to Plow?
Can’t dance a lick?
This what’s bothering you Bunky?
It’s time to sell that boat. Opportunity is knocking and you’re standing at the edge of your life… “Why not go for a ride?”
Here’s the deal:
Run What You Brung.
Meet us in Brownsville, Texas. Ride to CR with us and we’ll ship your bike home as part of the package. Price should be around $4,500 and will include lodging, tolls, border crossings and fuel. Food will be on you because you never do what we think you will.
Details aren’t set yet, but the tour starts in Brownsville Texas, and meanders through Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras (or El Salvador), Nicaragua and Costa Rica. We’re looking for Six (6) to Eight (8) Riders and there’l be two (2) guides so it’s important to get on board as soon as you can.
First come first serve on reservations so don’t get cold feet. We’re shooting for the 4th of January 2010. Details are in the works and will be on this site soon, so keep an eye out.
If you want us to contact you with final dates, itinerary and price, please drop a line to MotoToursCentralAmerica@gmail.com and we’ll be glad to catch you up.
Don’t listen to your aunt Milly… what does she know from life? Pick up the paper and look. It’s more dangerous where you’re standing. Come on…Jim Thompson has been riding Central America for at least twenty years and I’ve been doing it almost twelve. We’re still exploring, why not RIDE with us?
Jim is a retired school teacher and motorcycle racer. Will get a bio of him soon. Mine is in the “about” at the top of this page. One of us is a good mechanic. The other isn’t worth a damn. Be sure to get it right because we’re both willing.
Another option:
If you already live in Costa Rica, or visit enough to own a bike here, why not hook up with Fred Brown at Mark IV Honda (276-228-3118) and get a special “US to Costa Rica” discount on a new or used Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha or Suzuki? Ride it down and we’ll help you do the paperwork to keep the bike in Costa Rica. OR ….. Ride your own Motorcycle and leave it in Costa Rica. Either way, there’s an additional discount/savings on shipping.

USA – COSTA RICA EXPEDITION 2010 Itinerary:
[disclaimer: Since we are two companies, and even though we've worked together, there are some routes that one or the other of us hasn't taken. In the interest of coming clean, please note there are places on this itinerary that I have not been and can't say much about for that reason. Just know that I've worked extensively with Fred and Jim over many years.]
