Time to Fess up…there was no US to Costa Rica Tour this January.

Yes, between us all, we got not one Motorcycle Rider to show up at the Texas/Mexican Border.

…which begs the question… is it the money or the fear of angry peasants with torches, storming our hotels?

One reason is as good as another… we can’t make it cheaper and can’t make you un-afraid if you insist.  Just know we love these countries and know how to stay away from trouble;  just as you know not to walk the streets of your capital at night…  ….can’t live in fear if you ride a motorcycle… what the hell…

So I have a new, bolder plan which will take precision and daring.

2 Riders and a guide from Costa Rica to Texas

A Guide and 2 Riders from Texas to Costa Rica

The plan:  Based on the idea that you’ve read this site…and it looks good to you…you and another rider pick some dates that you’d like to go.  Needs to be no sooner then April 17th, 2010, yet sometime before we get old.

You’d fly here and I’d meet you at the San Jose Airport and take you to Villas de la Colina for your first night in Costa Rica.

The next morning, after breakfast, I’ll take you the fifty meters to my shop and introduce you to your KTM 640 Motorcycles.  This will be a free day and we can use it to get your luggage tied down, go for a ride to get the feel of your bike.

A man could spend his life here...

The next morning  we’ll Motorcycle north… through Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico.

All really cool places and things will happen that never have before… It’s because you’re there.  Because you’re you.  No trip is the same.  We’ll take breaks, we’ll steady steam, we’ll arrive in Texas in two weeks.  Be it San Antonio or Austin, you’ll leave me with the bikes and head home.

I’ll take the month off and return some books to friends in New Mexico and Virgina …

I expect to be heading south from Texas around July.

Now here’s where the tricky part comes in….

I’ll need two more riders to go back to Costa Rica with me….thereby getting my bikes home too.  So I’m looking for volunteers to make it happen.

Should be two guys who ride together going up and two more guys going down.  If I miss even one of you, the whole thing doesn’t work.

Price on this tour is $4,500.  This includes the two bikes you’ll be riding, my bike and services, Hotels and Border crossings.   Gas, too.
